Course Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing / Level 1 Key Skill Communication / Level 1 Key Skill Application of Number
Qualifications Needed to Start Course: 3 GCSE's (preferably English and Maths)
Duration: 18 - 24 Months (Starts: All Year Round)
Hairdressing - Level 2 NVQ
9 units must be completed for a full NVQ.

G20 Make sure that your own actions reduce risk to health and safety
G17 Give clients a positive impression of yourself and your organisation
G7 Advise and consult clients
GH8 Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp
GH9 Change hair colour
GH10 Style and finish hair
GH11 Set and dress hair
GH12 Cut hair using basic techniques
Plus 1 of the following optional units:
G4 Fulfill salon reception duties
G18 Promote additional services or products to clients
G8 Develop and maintain your effectiveness at work
GH13 Plait and twist hair
GH14 Perm and neutralise hair
GH15 Attach hair to enhance a style
