AN ADVANCED APPRENTICESHIP IS SUITABLE FOR ANY YOUNG PERSON WHO HAS ALREADY ACHIEVED THEIR NVQ LEVEL 2 IN HAIRDRESSING AND WISHES TO PROGRESS TO A HIGHER LEVEL.
Course Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Hairdressing / Level 2 Key Skill Communication / Level 2 Key Skill Application of Number
Qualifications Needed to Start Course: NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing / 3 GCSE's (including English and Maths)
Duration: 12 - 15 Months (Starts: All Year Round)
Hairdressing - NVQ Level 3
9 units must be completed for a full NVQ.
Mandatory Units (all must be completed)
G22 Monitor procedures to safely control work operations
G18 Promote additional services or products to clients
G21 Provide hairdressing consultation services
GH16 Creatively cut hair using a combination of techniques
Plus 5 optional units, only 1 of which may be chosen from Option 2.
(All 5 optional units can be chosen from Option Group 1 if desired)
Optional Units Group 1:
GH17 Colour hair using a variety of techniques
GH18 Provide colour correction services
GH19 Creatively style and dress hair
GH20 Creatively dress long hair
GH21 Develop and enhance your creative hairdressing skills
Optional Units Group 2:
G11 Contribute to financial effectiveness of the business
G19 Support client service improvements
H32 Contribute to the planning and implementation of promotional activities
